Hi Friends!

Can you believe how fast summer has flown by? Just when I think the market is slowing down I am proven wrong! My recent Huntington Woods listing received multiple offers within 24 hours, and while Huntington Woods is always a hot market, Michigan real estate as a whole remains steady. I’m still accepting backup offers on that beauty, so let me know if you’re interested! My business is completely referral-based, so message me if you need an expert to help list your home or help you find the perfect home to transition to!

Here’s an insider look into the Michigan real estate market from Max Broock:

Under $250,000: Showing activity has slowed – partially from normal seasonality – vacations, but also a shortage of homes for sale and, with prices rising, a squeeze in affordability.

Over $750,000: Showing activity has increased as a result of more plentiful For Sale inventory. The upper end is less impacted by price increases and prices have not jumped as much.

Pending Sales are still surprisingly strong, considering the low home listing inventory, however, I do expect the market momentum to begin to normalize from the intense levels of the past 12 months. New Home Listings are short of the prior two years, However, the gap is narrowing.

In personal news, I’m excited to share I rescued a Bernese Mountain dog named Hendrix!…He’s 18 weeks old and my Frenchie Winston has been the best big brother ever. He came from an Amish puppy mill and by the time the rescue got him he hadn’t eaten for 5 days. I feel so grateful to be his new mom. He’s one of the sweetest, most well-behaved puppies I’ve ever met, and the biggest lover!

Animals are so special and I highly recommend rescuing if you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family! The Michigan Humane Society has so many animals that need homes, or you can check out BARC, Inc. a non-profit corporation dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating Bernese Mountain Dogs where I got Hendrix.

It’s so gratifying to know that I am giving this guy a good home. We are going for walks every day and he loves his big backyard! Right now we’re working on socializing him, so if you ever need a dog walking buddy - let me know!

I plan to enjoy the rest of summer to the fullest and look forward to meeting you or working with you all!

See you soon, Kellie
