Before and After Photos of my Royal Oak Renovation

A year ago, I received a call from a woman stating she found me on ZILLOW and wanted to discuss the sale of her childhood home. She mentioned it needed a lot of TLC and was looking to sell it as is. Not a problem, I told her! It was a good lot & location in Royal oak that would be ideal for an investor & builder. ⚒️

The word BUILDER brought her to tears. She said, ‘my parents are the original owners of this house (1939).’ She went on to tell me about how they had raised their family here and she’d hate to see it torn down.

After we met, I went home that night and thought to myself, why don’t I buy it?! So 24 hrs later, I met her again with an offer in hand and told her this might sound crazy, but I would love to call this home. She said “wow, are you sure you want to take on a project this big..No AC, all original mechanics, full renovation?!” I felt fear & excitement at that moment, but knew it I was making the best decision. It helped having some real estate knowledge too 😉

Well, after a year of hard work (during a pandemic that proved to test me with materials shortages and high demand for contractor help!), I’m proud to finally share a few before and after photos of the place I call home.
